If you need a heating oil top up then you want a delivery service you can rely on. When you place your order, we’ll arrange a day that is most convenient for you. Our delivery days are Monday to Friday and we can even deliver if you aren’t at home. What’s more, you’ll only ever pay for the heating oil you use, so there’s no need to worry if you order too much.
All year round
We know that you need your heating oil January through to December, and so that’s why deliver it throughout the whole year. You can order at the onset of winter to make sure you’re toasty when the temperature drops, or plan ahead and top up in summer.
Our delivery drivers will try to get your heating oil order to you whatever the weather. Some parts of the UK are more likely to experience extreme weather conditions so there may be times when we just can’t deliver your order safely. It’s always wise to make sure you have enough heating oil to see you through, and we’ll deliver your order as soon as it’s safe for us to do so.
Certain times of year are busier than others. Lots of customers like to make sure they have enough heating oil for Christmas. This increased demand can make deliveries take a little longer. So plan ahead and get your heating oil order in, in plenty of time.
Our standard vehicles are six wheel tankers. These can reach nearly all houses, but there may be some locations that are a bit trickier to access. If that’s the case, we have four wheel tankers. When you place your order, please let us know if your property is:
Heating Oil Delivery FAQ
No. Your heating oil delivery can go to any address of your choice, it does not have to be your home address. Simply tell us your delivery address when you place your order.
Our standard tanker is a 6 wheeler. This is suitable for the vast majority of properties and can reach nearly all homes with no trouble whatsoever.
If you think that your property might be difficult to access with a large vehicle then you can request one of our 4 wheeler tankers. These are smaller and able to maneuver more easily down narrow lanes or in places with restricted access or weak bridges.
We aim to deliver all heating oil orders within ten working days. There may be times when we can deliver before this time frame, and you can always ask when you call. Our delivery days are Monday to Friday, which excludes weekends and bank holidays.
Unfortunately, there are no contingency plans if your heating oil is about to run out. We recommend placing an order when your heating tank is still about 20% full to allow for any delays. Planning ahead is the best way to avoid running out of heating oil.
You will receive a confirmation email when you place your order. If your delivery has not arrived yet, you can contact our team and we will investigate.
We try our hardest to deliver your heating oil by the date quoted to you, but there are rare occasions where this may not be possible. We will always try to notify you in advance if such a situation occurs.
As long as the driver has safe access to your heating oil tank, you don’t need to be at the property.
All our deliveries are metered, so we can leave you proof of how much oil we have dispensed. Our meters are regularly checked by Trading Standards for extra peace of mind.
Yes, we can deliver to an offset fill as long as:
- The driver can safely access the tank prior to and during the delivery
- Your tank is in good condition
- There are means in place for the driver to ascertain safe ullage*
- There is a gauge in place at the fill point to allow the driver to monitor the level of fuel in the tank during delivery
- The offset fill is permanently connected to the tank
*ullage is the available capacity remaining within the tank. This is calculated by subtracting the amount of remaining fuel from a tank’s safe maximum capacity.
Our delivery drivers are unable to take delivery hoses through homes or living spaces. This includes garages converted to living space, for example, those that contain white goods like washing machines or fridges. If no alternative access to the fill point is available, you would need to consult your tank provider to explore other options.
A delivery will only take place to a tank that is designed for the storage of oil products and is in good condition. Our drivers are not permitted to deliver into IBC’s at domestic properties.
It’s very unlikely that you would receive the incorrect amount of oil. However, if we do deliver the wrong amount, we will refund the difference for any under delivery. If you have over ordered and do not need as much as you thought then you only pay for what you use. There are no admin fees, so you only pay for what gets put in your tank.
