We know that you need your home heating oil from January through to December, so that’s why we deliver it throughout the whole year. You can order at the onset of winter to make sure you’re toasty when the temperature drops, or plan ahead and top up in summer.
Safety comes first with our oil deliveries
Our delivery drivers will try to get your domestic oil order to you whatever the weather. Some parts of the UK are more likely to experience extreme weather conditioning, so there may be times when we just can’t deliver your order safely. It’s always wise to make sure you have enough heating oil to see you through, and we’ll deliver your order as soon as it’s safe for us to do so.
Plan your oil delivery ahead of time
Certain times of year are busier than others. Lots of customers like to make sure they have enough heating oil for Christmas and therefore place orders in December. This increased demand can make deliveries take a little longer. So, plan ahead and get your heating oil order in before the winter rush.
Oil Delivery Timings
With depots local to you, we keep your home heated and your deliveries hassle free. We aim to deliver to you within 10 working days. Sometimes our timings may be quicker than quoted.
Please note that working days exclude weekends and bank holidays.
Delivery Vehicles
Our standard vehicles are six wheel tankers. These can reach nearly all houses, but there may be some locations that are a bit trickier to access. If that’s the case, we have four wheel tankers.
When you place your order, please let us know if your property is:
- On a narrow lane
- Has restricted access
- Has a weak or narrow bridge on the approach
Heating Oil Delivery FAQs
No. Your heating oil delivery can go to any address of your choice, it does not have to be your home address. Simply tell us your delivery address when you place your order.
Our standard tanker is a six wheeler. These tankers are suitable for the vast majority of properties and can reach nearly all homes with no trouble whatsoever.
If you think that your property might be difficult to access with a large vehicle then you can request one of our four wheeler tankers. These vehicles are smaller and able to manoeuvre more easily down narrow lanes or in places with restricted access or weak bridges.
We aim to deliver all heating oil orders within ten working days. Our delivery days are Monday to Friday, which excludes weekends and bank holidays.
Unfortunately, there are no contingency plans if your heating oil is about to run out. We recommend placing an order when your heating tank is still about 20% full to allow for any delays. Planning ahead is the best way to avoid running out of heating oil.
You will receive a confirmation email when you place your order. If your delivery has not arrived yet, you can contact our team and we will investigate.
We try our hardest to deliver your heating oil by the date quoted to you, but there are rare occasions where this may not be possible. We will always try to notify you in advance if such a situation occurs.
As long as the driver has safe access to your heating oil tank, you don’t need to be at the property.
All our deliveries are metered, so we can leave you proof of how much oil we have dispensed. Our metres are regularly checked by Trading Standards for extra peace of mind.
Yes, we can deliver to an offset fill as long as:
- The driver can safely access the tank prior to and during the delivery
- Your tank is in good condition
- There are means in place for the driver to ascertain safe ullage*
- There is a gauge in place at the fill point to allow the driver to monitor the level of fuel in the tank during delivery
*ullage is the available capacity remaining within the tank. Ullage is calculated by subtracting the amount of remaining fuel from a tank’s safe maximum capacity.
Our delivery drivers are unable to take oil delivery hoses through homes or living spaces. We are also unable to deliver through garages converted to living space, for example, those that contain white goods like washing machines or fridges. If no alternative access to the fill point is available, you would need to consult your tank provider to explore other options.
A delivery will only take place to a tank that is designed for the storage of oil products and is in good condition. We are able to deliver to an IBC tank as long as it is in good condition, the cage is intact and it is sited on firm ground. If upon arrival the delivery driver considers the tank unsafe or not fit for purpose, we regret that the delivery will not be completed.
It’s very unlikely that you would receive the incorrect amount of oil. However, if we do deliver the wrong amount, we will refund the difference for any under delivery. If you have over ordered and do not need as much as you thought then you only pay for what you use. There are no admin fees, so you only pay for the exact amount of oil that gets put in your tank.
